Sticks and sewer drains
Isaac is happily contributing to the flooding problems in our neighborhood. Haha. You can also see his newest injury: a mangled upper lip. :(

Mud & Boys
Nate had the day off on Monday so he took Isaac out for a walk while I went to the gym. When Nate & Isaac got home, Nate mentioned that we'd need to change Isaac's pants and rinse off his shoes. I didn't think much of it until I saw Isaac's pants and then the pictures and video that Nate took on his phone. Oh my! I would have never let Isaac walk in that puddle and all that mud! Isaac's shoes were still soaked Wednesday morning so he went to school in his Crocs and socks instead. ;)
What is it with mud and boys?!

Not the easy way
There must be an easier way ...
Last minute house project -- a new sink! Nate had a little helper.

Arizona 2011
We traveled to sunny Arizona for a week-long visit with my parents. Isaac had so much fun ... he got lots of attention and, unless he was eating or sleeping, spent practically every minute outside!
The trip started out with Isaac's first haircut (just a little trim off the front)
On the second day, we did a short hike in the Superstition Mountains
and then drew a picture for Gramma and Grampa's fridge
Someone thought it was funny to eat his yogurt with a giant "spoon"
The boys spent one evening making homemade ice cream
Olivia & Isaac got a kick out of playing with the toy stroller
The zoo had fun walkways to run on (who needs animals?)!
He loved watching all the cars & trucks that were helping with the airplane.
We had a great trip and can't wait for next year!

Sick, sick, and more sick
The past few weeks have been rough on little Isaac. It started with pink eye. Here we are at Urgent Care (where we waited for 3.5 hours!).
Then he got a cough. Here he is all snuggled up on the couch.
Next it was an off/on fever. To pass the time indoors we did water color painting!
And finally, an ear infection and sore throat. Boo. :( We took a couple trips to Carkeek Park to distract Isaac from how horrible he was feeling. He had fun walking on the beach and even learned how to throw rocks into the water!
After three trips to the doctor, two prescription medications and lots of TLC, Isaac is ALL better. Next up -- those darn one year molars are poking through.
