Sick, sick, and more sick

The past few weeks have been rough on little Isaac. It started with pink eye. Here we are at Urgent Care (where we waited for 3.5 hours!).

Then he got a cough. Here he is all snuggled up on the couch.

Next it was an off/on fever. To pass the time indoors we did water color painting!

And finally, an ear infection and sore throat. Boo. :( We took a couple trips to Carkeek Park to distract Isaac from how horrible he was feeling. He had fun walking on the beach and even learned how to throw rocks into the water!

After three trips to the doctor, two prescription medications and lots of TLC, Isaac is ALL better. Next up -- those darn one year molars are poking through.

Isaac and Audrey

Isaac's best friend at daycare is little Audrey. The teachers have nicknamed them Tarzan and Jane because of the game they play where Isaac lets out a big yell and Audrey laughs and smiles at him. Also, because Isaac is a big, strong brute and Audrey is the sweet, adorable, smiling girl. The teachers have learned that they can't have the two of them next to each other at nap time because they will spend the entire time giggling. ;)

I heard a great story when I picked Isaac up from daycare last week. Isaac's most favorite thing to do during their outside play time is to run back and forth pushing a bike. Audrey was sitting on a bike that afternoon and Isaac started pushing her all around the playground. At a certain point, he must have decided it was time for her to get off the bike so he could get back to his usual routine of pushing and running. So what did he do? Picked up a handful of wood chips and threw them on her head! That's my boy ....

The best part is that the teachers were taking pictures. Oh ... so cute, I can barely stand it!!

Happy New Year

We took Isaac on his very first carousel ride. We take carouseling very seriously in this family.

Isaac has been learning how to kick a ball. He looks to be a natural soccer star, flopping to the ground faking an injury and all!

(Don't worry, he was fine ...)
